I don't think you would be able to enter a photo such as this since there is no date proof... I'm not certain what the issue is with the lack of a date, but I also use PSP 8 for editing/processing and have had no issues with 'missing dates' in the exif information. My suspicion is that the date was not set correctly in the camera. |

It's possible that PSP just doesn't understand the way the EXIF is written. Try downloading Irfanview and loading it in that. Select Image>Information and look at the bottom of the dialog to see if there is an EXIF Info button. If so, click that to view. If not, then there is almost certainly missing EXIF info.

Are you running WinXP? If so you can go to the picture and right click it. Go down to properties and left click it. A properties box will appear and at the top it should say the file name + properties (ie. 103557 Properties). You will have two tabs at the top [General and Summary], Click on summary. More than likely it will be blank but at the bottom right you will see an advanced button. Click on it and all your EXIF data will appear including the date.
This must be done with the original file so always make a copy. After editing you will loose your EXIF data.
Summary
1. Save a copy of the original
2. Right click the file then go down to properties.
3. Go to the summary tab.
4. Go to the advanced button at bottom on the summary page.
5. Here you will be able to view EXIF Data. |

That's ruff Jeff, but better to find out now than to have a good score and suffer a painful DQ.

Might as well post some of the shots now.

Paint Shop Pro 8 has problems with EXIF data (I experienced them myself). This is a known issue, yet Jasc preferred to fix this with PSP9 rather than release a patch. Don't worry, your EXIF is probably fine. Just keep an original if you're requested proof.
