Quiet Evening

Looks a little washed out. Composition-wise my eyes go immediately to the tree on the right before drifting left to the deer. Some more lighting on the deer would've helped.

I agree with Mike. I saw the tree instantly and only saw the deer after forcing my eyes to explore the rest of the photo. You could possible play with some different crops, though I think you will suffer for the lighting.

I didn't even notice the deer until reading previous comments :(

I think cropping off the left side of the picture to make it vertical instead of horizontal would make the composition more appealing. Maybe even taking some of the tree off to have the viewer look to the deer easier.

What they are saying about the composition is probably true....but I like it as is... It has a look about it that is pleasing to me and one of those photos that you enjoy studying and exploring. I could see this framed.
I've looked at this five more times. I really like it. Nice job!

I also like the crop the way it is, and I noticed the deer immediately. As for "washed-out", yes, it can use a little curves work to bring up contrast. A little red boost in the highlights in the sky looks nice as well.

I like that the eye is not drawn directly to the deer. A photo is boring when you glance at it once and see everything there is to see. But, I am no expert...
