Lisa,
You are tireless:) Always posting new photos...
And I really like this one. The colors are just great and the bird adds an extra element of interest. Too bad that one is behind the other, although clearly discernable, it makes for a slightly confused image.

Yup... no doubt about it... those are two seagulls all right. Though it is questionable what the one behind is doing it appears the image is still suitable for a PG-13 audience.

Oh... OK... I'll give a legit review...
Nicely composed. Great horizontal waves and good use of the rule of thirds. Overall a nice image.
The sunset highlight is the strength of the shot. Therefore, I'd use burn, color burn and/or Hue/Sat to spruce up the reflection in the sand to bring out more color.
Looks like you used straightening to get those nice level waves, but may have cropped it a little wide on the left. There appears to be a tell-tale sign of that showing up as a thin purple triangle on the lower left side.
The focus seems a little weak and soft. Don't know what can be done about that.
Lastly, though I am sure this is something real in the sand, there is what for all intents and purposes looks like dirt on the picture in the center bottom of the frame. For that reason, I'd clone it out.

thank you steve for an in depth analysis. Your right i did straighten the waves. It was a matter of quick get the shot before the birds leave. I can see what you are talking about with the purple triangle too.
Thanks again for pointing out some faults. I really appreciate it

Lisa, it is great photo concept, especially catching the sunset in the sand and cropping it from the sky. That adds considerable interest for the viewer who wonders what that sunset really looked like.
Hope I did not come across as trashing your shot.

no not at all. I am only learning and i am always interested in peoples opinions. That is what i love about this site. Yes, it is another sunset/bird shot. I know they get very cliche. Just trying out my new camera and just after thoughts on the pic. I mean it when i said i really appreciate your input. I dont care how harsh or nice people will be with it. Any feedback it great.
