Here's a completely different direction with the headshot, in a sepia and softer mode.
The issue of dealing with her physical attributes is more complex. basically, if you shoot a model with short legs/long torso from a slightly lower angle, the legs appear longer. Unfortunately, this makes the legs appear "chunkier" as well, so if the are already pretty solid (as opposed to skinny) then this accentuates that problem.
On the background, it's just that black bacgrounds are pure negative sapce, and the overall composition has to be one that works well witht he negative sapce, which is not the case with the full-body sots, particularly the standing one. The hadshot, on the other hand, uses the background well. And anyway, there's no "life" in a black BG, it by nature stark and unforgiving. A pure white, high-key lkook is the opposite; white = life. It can be misuesd also, but it's a lot easier for a model to look "beautiful" on white than on black.

Here's a brief foray into the full-length shot. It needed a LOT of work, there are uneven colour areas, and I am limited by the resolution of the small copy. I'm not saying this is dieal, by any means, but study the differences. I found a little life in your BG, btw, with levels...
I did one thing that's REALLY unusual, btw, and probably not a good idea for a model portfolio shot. Can anyone spot it? Compare to the original, to find it.

That's correct, with the skew adjustment in PS :-)

Ahh, ok, I'll attempt to explain the lacking lighting. Her bottom half seems to be darker than the rest of her. It could be the tan (a little too tan, if you ask me), at least on her legs. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure changing the lighting would help this as much as a little dodging.
