Anyone do the Russian firmward update in their Canon 300d?
Just got my camera and thinking of doing it.....

No problems?
Is there a site you did it from?
Little worried since i read that the 300d has a dos operating system.
Is there the chance of ur-repairable viruses?

i did it when i had the 300D and the only thing i ever heard of is that it may not allow you to change the menu languages. and the AI sevro doesnt work right. i primarially got it for the 3200 ISO and i had no ill effects.

there is hte russian hack and a newer one, the 'undutchables'.
see the yahoo group for info - i think both hacks are on that site.
