When I set up my new PC and re-installed my Firefox and extensions, I put back the SpellBound, also. It never was a great checker and missed things, but it did help some. It isn't working at all now. I make obvious, blatant errors to test it out and it comes back with "no errors". Anyone have any idea of what's up? Thanks!

If you already notice the errors, then you shouldn't worry about the extension not working :)

But I make so many typos that extensions like that clean it up faster!!!

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the extension?

Also, I've never tried tinyspell but saw it linked recently. It's supposed to be a spellchecker that works with whatever you're typing.

Thanks, but yes, I have tried that. Tinyspell is either the one for Internet Explorer only or one that works more like a dictionary - I know I tried it. (TinySpell tells you the word is misspelled, but that's all. I need it more for the usual typos that it will semi-automatically correct for you.)

I updated this week...tuesday?? and yours is even more current than mine - i might suspect the update changed to Firfox changed something - be it a security issue or perhaps a default setting and that has disabled your spell checker.

I would suggest searching/posting to the Mozillazine Firefox Forum. There's plenty of traffic there and somebody's sure to be able to help.
