| wow, that didnt take long to be pulled. i was having trouble believing it anyway... a Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II at only $350 with 32 bids and 18 hours left to go |

I wonder if the seller got scared with only 18 hours left and pulled it?

It happens all the time. if the seller had pulled there would still be a page stating that. When someone steals a eBay password they automatially put a high end product up for sale on a 2 day auction. Ebay patrols looking for such offering from people who might normally sell , say $2 stickpins or who only use eBay as buyers. You should not only look a a sellers rating, but also see if they have ever sold anything like what you are wanting to bid on.
If someone who normally only sells greeting cards or hand painted mailboxes all of a sudden puts up $40,000 worth of Rolex watches or high end photo equipment you may want be a little shy.
