Is a guy like this even deserve to be on the site?

it's obvious it's a fake account, i'd like to see with which of 20,000 worth of camera he took his 2 entries !!!

My 2 cents.

It certainly looks odd, but I don't think that we have anywhere near enough information to pass such judgement.

A senario to be considered, if by some chance I was making silly money with photography and one of my kids wanted to take an interest, then I would let them list the equipment that they have access to (although I would not encourage it) and let them experiment in the dpc community.

Son - "Dad, these effects are so cool"
Dad - "Actually Son, I don't think so"
Son - "There are too! Jimmy said they were way cool, he taught me!"
Dad - "Ok Son, why don't you submit a pic or two to dpc and see how they get on..."

I would still like a site admin to check it out. This person is a second account from an existing member or someone who is goofing off. But I still can't believe it's real. You do have a good point though.

It does seem odd. I would like the site admins to check on it and find out what happens.

Personally I am intrigued as to why on earth you would care.

hey...he's been selected as a favorite. Maybe he's really young or maybe he doesn't know how to delete a camera once he adds it. I don't think he's going to give you much competition when things are said and done. If it really is a second account, the admins can tell that sort of thing through IP addresses. Unless of course he has once account for home and one for the library -- but if that was the case, I would think that person *wouldn't* want to draw attention to themselves with all those cameras listed and by entering those two into a challenge -- not to mention the fact that even if it was, and he is voting his own entries a 10, one 10 vote out of, on average 300, would only increase his own score by .013 -- that is assuming he would have a 6.0 without. Any score bringing him closer to ribbon-contention would be affected less by the 10 vote. A vote of 7.0 for example would only bump his score up by .009 but his 1-vote on your 7.0 would drop your score by .02. Hardly making any difference in *most* challenges but ... like I said if it is a second account, I think the admin's will find out.

I don,t really care, what I care about is people with 2 accounts so they can vote twice. But I guess I wouldn't put it so obvious.

That's why it's in the rant forum. It's just a rant.

This account has entered twice, but never ever voted on a single picture.

And it looks to me like a spoof account based on .. something rather not nice. :) Funny, but not nice.

Strange......he hasn't even voted........look at his average vote cast.

If you'd like to see an admin check something or someone out, the best way to do it is to contact them privately, not start a thread for public ridicule.
