Dry, Droughty, Cakey. Wet, Icky, Gushy. on the ground, on the car, a little on the tires. How exciting and interesting can you make "Brown"? |

What can brown do for you?
It would presently be so pleasant to be able to FIND mud, but it is buried under the eight inches of snow that fell three days ago, LOL.

Indeed........what Kirbic said. I for one rejoice at the sight of mud since it means the snow is finally leaving.

Isn't shooting RAW considered to be "muddy" looking?
Just shoot raw and send them in, without post-processing!
Damn, whish my camera could shoot that way, not only JPGs!!

I'd love to see that! As long as one can keep it tastefull.

Of course it would be tastefull. But it might get scored low if it was not the real thick kind of mud and didn't meet the challenge. |

I know that, Scuds, really. You obviously understand the physical benefits of keeping one's skin soft by applying goopy, oopy mud all over oneself. Hey, and if exercise is added to the mix .........! :;) K.

How funny! You have mud fronts in Florida? I thought the cold fronts in Michigan were bad enough! |

mud does *not* work for me... I dropped my 10D in the mud this weekend. :(
I'm still trying to clean all the dried out, caked on, gunk out of the buttons and switches. still seems to be working OK though.
A guy who saw it happen came over to cheer me up and said that at least now I looked like I was a National Geographic photographer. :)

Oh, Dave - I'm so sorry to hear that. Like wrecking a new car. Uh..... if they ever do pick "Mud" as a challenge, do you have an old camera to drop in the mud? It could be an exciting photo (might elicit a big sympathy vote!)
A NG Photog, eh? I'm impressed. Hope you had business cards printed with that title.
Seriously, I do hope it cleans up and works at 100%. You must have run through a long list of emotions - including fear and anger. Good luck with it.

Check here and also here.
Actually, I just took some photos of mud a couple of weeks ago ... I'll have to look for those ... or take some more tomorrow. |
