Take a look at this. It's an example of someone who's mastered their camera so that impeccable timing becomes second nature to them.
Imagine getting a photo of a baseball bat as it breaks upon impact with the ball:
1st Photo
and have the skill to track the bat as it flies through the air and capture this sharp image a split second later:
2nd Photo
This impresses me every bit as much as perfect light, composition, or toning.
