Thanks for the comments earlier today...here is a less subtle version on the right. I tend to over process the image and lose the details. What do you think of the toned down version?

This is great. Very natural looking and plenty of detail.

I suppose there are ways this could be improved, but bottom line is that I sure wish I had taken this shot! :)

See what I mean? Got some of that eagle glare now...

But it looks fake as shit. One thing you should never do when taking wildlife photography is to tweak the images to make them look like you think they should look. I've never seen an eagle with glowing eyes.

As always in these things, one exaggerates to make one's point. Somewhere in between, no doubt. But look at this; //www.fredmiranda.com/forum/message.php?Action=downloadfile&FileID=70276

And I've seen the like with my own eyes. The point is, the strongest eagle shots always seem to show some of that yellow color in the eyes.

It's there, he just has to tweak it out a little. How much, is the question.

A couple of mine for your review. Shot with a Sigma 50-500 Ex on a tripod. Fort Worth Texas, 2004.

Although I've had shots at Eagles in Alaska, never could I capture them as full framed as these. The Sigma lens is a solid addition to my tool bag.

Nice photo`s!!
Here is one from two weeks ago!O.K. It`s not an eagle!I just liked the fact that only the center of the owl is in focus.
