Last year I was run off from a cemetery where I've taken photos before (I even shot two movies there - of course we paid location fees for those).
Just be aware that they can ask you to leave. I'm not sure you need to oblige (after all, it's a public place and you're not looking to profit from your photos), but it's not unheard of.

Yup - it's odd alright.
And I just got chased out of a cemetery and wasn't even carrying a camera - just a spade, a torch and a 7ft plywood box. Sheesh, people are touchy. |

Why does anyone need a tripod in a cemetary?? It's not like there is any fast action!!
Unless it is to get a shot of all the photogs running out with attendants in full pursuit.

I agree. My initial post was all sincere and respectful and he just blew it out of the water. Nothing like a little comedic timing and deadpan humour.
