I work for TRiO Student Support Services at a community college (it's a federal educational grant program for underrepresented students who might not be able to complete a college education without personal academic assistance - without us!). However, students are on spring break this week and all is very quiet up here ... so, yeah, I'm sneaking peeks all day long at DPC. And, if there's anyone else from the federal TRiO programs on here, ya better not bust me because you're doing it too!

I am in Quality Control. Handle return authorizations, do reports (weekly, monthly, yearly) All the bad in house reject stuff. Also a lab tech and test rubber compounds that go on printing press rollers and do lab test. Sounds busy but not for the past few months. And to think I have a degree in Computer Programming.

I work out of a home office as a business analyst for a large computer manufacturer. What does that mean? I have no clue... :)

Its really boring work. No I mean REALLY boring. Other people do things and I report on it and analyze it to see if there is an easier process. Technically, my job involves watching other people do their work. Kinda like photography I guess. You figure this much practice I'd be good at watching. Well, I am, just gotta work out the kinks of clicking at the right time. right place. you know what I mean.

And to think I majored in Philosophy for this.

Supposed to be working....

Can't call this job work when I am working - more of a joke.

I make my boss feel important.

I'm an Administrative Assistant in a Commercial Realty Office.
(fax, copy, scan, dictation, design flyers for property listings, type memos, letters, call people and yell on behalf of my boss....sometimes AT my boss....)

Basically, my life is a living hell.

:)

Also have a minor in Database Management. Still can't find a job in either field. Oh well, at least I am at home everyday by 4 to spend time with my kids. Money is no longer important to me. I just want to spend time with my kids. A friend once told me the more time I spend with them while they are young the more time they will want to spend with me when they get older. Besides they need someone to help with homework.

Semi-retired, work at home, as an editor and book designer, and sell my photography as "fine art prints".

They are the reason I exists. If it wasn't for them I would be a drunk living in the gutters.

Don't give up. I am so broke right now it is pitiful but I have my kids that is all that matters. Wish I could afford that DSLR.

That's sweet...I'm very close to both my parents. Still live at home, in fact...though not necessarily a good thing. LOL. Can't afford to move out yet...so in that respect, money is very much important to me. When I have a family though, I will be a stay at home Mom and focus on my artwork and my children. That's been my dream all my life.
