In Response to Place: Photographs from the Nature Conservancy's Last Great Places
What: Fifty photos by 12 contemporary photographers inspired by Nature Conservancy landscapes throughout the world.
When: Thru Oct. 6
Where: Minnesota Museum of American Art, Landmark Center, 75 W. 5th St., St. Paul.
Review: Fresh and unexpected, the photos avoid Sierra Club calendar cliches in favor of distinctive visions including conceptual images by William Wegman and bleakly dramatic vistas by celebrity portraitist Annie Leibovitz.
