This is usually use in connection with amendments to the US Constitution or in some way in advocating the right to free speech or the rights of others. I̢۪ve never heard it used before referring to the lack of reporting scams on eBay. I have gotten some scam email related to eBay or Pay Pal on a daily basis for the past several years. If they haven̢۪t figured out how to deal with it by now, I doubt that any reporting that I will do can help in the least.


The lines are most properly used to encourage a stand on principle, even if you're not "directly involved" in the events taking place. This was what Pastor Neimöller was preaching to when he first said them.
