I got a photo of mine featured in this months Practical Photography Magazine (UK) and they sent me a cheque this morning!

Ironically enough it was an old photo, taken on a Canon G5 compact camera. (thousands of pounds later, I have a 20D and selection of lenses, but no 'income' from the photos! :-) )

April 2005 edition, 'One picture, three views' feature if you are interested.

Yep, I am a subscriber and saw your picture featured! Well done indeed!

DPCers are doing well in PP recently what with Nordic's Best of 2004 entry in the previous issue.

Also in the same issue as your own picture is another I think I recognise from DPC. It's a quirky black and white of two teabags clipped with wooden clothes pegs onto a line to dry. The photographer's name is listed as Lee Pengelly and I can find his own website via google but not his DPC username (if indeed I'm not misremembering seeing that image on DPC previously).

Hey Kavey,

I saw that also. I wasn't sure whether the DPCer had copied the idea from Practical Photography.. (but the issue only came out on the 14-15th March and the DPC entry was prior to that.)

I am assuming the printed image/ entry are by the same persdon.
Can't find the image on DPC though (can't recall which challenge or thread in which it featured) so can't compare side by side.

That photo is in the current challenge lines. Just seen it last night

Yes, it is in a current challenge. I still think that it is a 'copy' of an idea rather than the same photographer. The DPC entry seems to have been taken with Flash, whilst the PP entry has more subtle diffuse light and tones. (spooky, if there is no connection other than the subject!)

Just a reminder people - PLEASE don't discuss (or post!) images that are currently being voted upon!
