I wanted to enter this as "Lines of Music", "Lines of Expression" or something like that, but somehow I just didn't do it.

Any comments, critique, anything?

Thanks :)

Decent. Not real dramatic or anything. I'd have given it a 5 or 6.

ps - is it a "Blues" band? :-P

I kind of like the image, but don't think it would have done all that well - the lines themselves are mostly blurred. On the other hand, I don't see any ribbons in MY portfolio, so... what the heck do I know? ;-)

kpriest: No, we're playing progressive jazz/fusion ;) Oh, and a 6 isn't that bad.

aronya1: Well, the point wasn't the strings. I was thinking more abstractly, as in the lines he is playing. Creating lines is a very important thing to music, but of course that's a geeky thing to care about.

I'm pretty new to this place, and I'm amazed that people throw in comments this quickly. I asked myself questions I'd ask you after what you said, and made some answers myself that I visualized how this image could become better composition-wise, and that's a lot of help. Thanks!

Nice, I have one also for lines.

But went with something else.

Here's one of mine that I took within the time period but it didn't cross my mind to enter as I already had an entry.

Mag-I really, really like this photo. The blue tint adds nicely to what is known as a classic Blues guitar. I'm also a sucker for a Strat shot
Here's my tribute. My '62 Re-Issue....love those guitars.

RE: Lighters - I like it. I think it would've done ok and I mighta given it a 6 or 7. I'd have given it a 10 though, if all the lighters were lit! ;-)

I assume that the button needs to be kept down for the lighters to stay lit. I did think it might look good having one flame, but they were for sale in a cafe and I thought they'd expect me to buy one if I lit it.
