Hi all,
I need to print some pics in A4 format.
My question is - what ratio should my pictures be so that the printers dont need to crop the excess parts themselves.
I dont want them to do it coz they might crop it in a way that might take some elements in the pic out, that I want to be included in the print.
What ratio should I crop the pix in so that they can just feed it into the printer.
Also is it better if I give it to them in CMYK so that the color levels/curves I use will be the ones used in the print?
Thanks all
Cheers
Kaush

almost ALL printers use sRGB profile so convert the pictures profile to sRGB before printing.

A4 is 210x297mm full bleed but it depends on the printer how much bleed is possible.

for A4 print I set the image size to 287x203mm @ 300dpi
that should give a border approx 5mm on each side wich I cut off.

it´s better too look up the optimal dpi for your printer, some printers like 288dpi better then 300dpi.
