This is my attempt at macro with a non macro lens...far too expensive at the moment. I'd love some comments or critique on them...thanks

The 18-55 lens kit that came with the Rebel

Great! I have the kit lens, the 18-55 USM and haven't really had the chance to put it thru it's paces yet! Judging by your results, it works pretty well, considering it is not a Macro lens.

Do you have any other lenses yet? If so, which ones?

I presume these were taken at the long end but what sort of crop are they? would be nice to see the details section and comments in the fotogs section completed (dare I say if you can't be bothered then nor can I).

The 18-55 can focus quite closely and I'm guessing these are not cropped at all or very little, given the clarity of the shots. Great work, by the way. I would only add that they could all use a boost in contrast and perhaps 1/3 stop more exposure.

Yeah thanks for the idea about the contrast stuff, I'll have to give it a try and see what I end up with.
