I have tried to understand Ansel Adams a little better since the latest challenge. Since it ended, I captured a few flower shots this weekend in black and white trying to get nice whites and dark blacks with a nice amount of contrast between the spectrum, also being mindful of the field. I don't have much experience with black and white photography, so any critiques on this photo would be greatly appreciated. Also, how well do you think this would do in an Ansel Adams related challenge? Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit-
oh, and I just wanted to add that I experimented with filters also, and I used a yellow filter for this shot.
