I want to be financially successful the most -- only because I already have happiness and a beautiful girlfriend (of three years) and all the other stuff that matters.

For me its a lady that knows who she is, and isn't afraid to be herself. Confidence if you will is a huge turn on for me. Care free spirit, humor, genuineness, and a heart of gold come in a close second, and of course looks, or cuteness don't hurt either. But I am sure that most of you know that cute people can get ugly REALLY quick, and average people can become the "person of your dreams" Time tells all.

I am not currently married and not sure if I ever will be but this is what I find important to myself at this stage in my life. It might be a repeat of most items listed so far, however.
In no particular order whatsoever: Respect, Love, Caring, Dignity, Encouragement, Humor, Wanted (to be wanted by someone), Acceptance, Simplicity, Compatibility, Intelligence, and my list could go on but that's all I could think of at the moment.
Sure, I'm not Mr. Universe by any means (just ask anyone from DPC who has met me) and they can concur. But, honestly, I prefer a woman for who she is not for what she is. Does she provide a majority of the items in my list above? If so, great! Does she need to look like someone in the movies that I totally admire? No but if so, perfect! I think it would be very difficult for me to expect that she be totally perfect while I am so far from. Just my two cents on this subject. :)
I'd like to add the following to my list: Patience & Inspiration.

When my boss was getting divorced (for cheating on his wife), his wife offered up the following advice to my boss's future wife:
"He likes b.j.'s and chocolate cake. Make sure he always has one of 'em and you'll be fine."
...just felt like sharing.

I believe that is like asking what do women want. You won't find the answer in Cosmopolitan or Redbook. Perhaps not even by asking each man, because their answers will differ, except when they are trying to appear masculine.
For me, the deepest yearnings are to comprehend the nature of consciousness and the existence of experience as fully as I can while not feeling alone in the process. Beer is pretty far down on my list, but it is there. |

For 'things' to work!
Not just 'sort-of' work or 'kind-of' work or work 'once in a while'; but work the first time, everytime, and do exactly what they were intended to do and nothing else.
I want 'things' to work, and work to the degree I have confidence they are going to continue working so I can take my attention off of making them work and just use them to make other 'things' work.
Rinse, repeat ...

I think fundamentally what both men and women want is to feel that they have made a valuable contribution and that they're appreciated for it.

Understanding - 'cos were different from women! (honest!)
Love - tell us you love us, put dont go overboard, just now and then is fine
Food - we like food, feed us, make us special dishes!
Beer - we like beer, offer to pour us a beer when we get in from work, that always makes us feel good!
Conversation - talk to us, we like to talk, but dont talk too much or we loose interest, especially dont talk to us when we are watching sport on the TV.
Smiles - we like it when ladies smile at us!
Sex - we like sex! Anytime is ok for us, even 4am in the morning, we dont mind,if you wake up and cant get back to sleep just give us a nudge, honest!
