What would people thing of having a seperate forum for score updates rather than lumping them in the current challenge forum (or 'section' as the column in the main page forum list is labled)? I often find that I click on a thread thinking it's a discussion of a challenge (often because the thread is titled with the challenge name) only to find that it's a score update thread. I have no problem with people doing these, but I'm not perticularly interested in reading them myself. If I could see ahead of time what it is by looking at the 'Section' column on the main page, I wouldn't waste time having these threads that I'm not interested in load and then wait again while the main page reloads after I click back. Since one of these threads seems to start for almost every challenge on the site, it doesn't seem unreasonable to give them their own section.

I would not have problem with it but in many instances the thread is labeled score up-date, or how are we doing. There are a lot of threads out there that are not labeled in a manner that would tell you exactly what they are so over time you will go to many threads that you do not really want to. So the only question is, is the site counsel willing to do this.

Many of them are clear and I appreciate it when people give threads clear titles. Many are still ambiguous though, such as the recent 'AA Scores' thread, which I clicked on thinking it might be discussion of people's thought process in voting on the Ansel Adams challenge, not just people listing their numbers.

Holy Ancient Threads Batman...

sorry, someone was going to say it.

Dear Dense, I see a need.

...well, not a need, but recurring threads that some people are not interested in are easier to ignore if they are in their own forum. By that logic, some might request an Art Roflmao forum though. ;-) If there is a desire to keep the number of forums to a minimum, I would suggest consolidating "Individual Photograph Discussion" with "Photography Discussion".

Exactly. It would be much easier to set a scores forum on permanent ignore than to have to hide 4+ new threads every week. Not everyone cares about people's scores vote by vote.
