I like the chain one the best. Low perspective and the chains add a sense of depth. Too bad there is a dude on the left.
HEY! where is your Remy Martin photo?

I have some cool semi-candids when we were on the shorline taking a break.. I'll work on some of those tomorrow.
I'll be editing that guy out later.. I know.. he totaly ruins the photo.. I like candids and all but this is just rediculous :)

Nice, I think Greg's and mine are similar, your view of it was different. Neat, funny how we got all fixated on that stupid bottle.
We should go again since they didn't take our complementary tickets.
It's so sad, I think I'm gonna order that Tamron 17-35 and try to stop buying lens.

Ahhh, Hi my name is Tom Y. and I'm a lensaholic....
My hand is too stubby to make a living as a hand model. Perhaps if I had the hands of George Castanza...
I made the classic newbie mistake, I bought low end consumer lens and then decided to upgrade instead of just buying the ones I would have gotten in the end. So now I have to buy the lens I would end up with after having bought cheaper lenses to learn on . I guess you live and learn. I guess I'll have to sell them on eBay if they don't sell here. Arie might make use of the 55-200 lens but she's smart and will be getting pro level lens and not more consumer grade ones. And you can't use cannon lenses. Your lenses screw on backwards... counter clockwise for god sakes. What were those idiots at Nikon thinking!!! :P
But I really think this will be the last one. I'll have enthusiast/pro level lens for all types of photography now. There really is nothing else to get. Atleast I hope. Lenses are very addictive, you've added two as a starving student in less than a year yourself...
Now you need the Digma

Ordered the Tamron 17-35 at Beachcamera
$449 plus $20 rebate and no tax or shipping. Great deal seeing as they were all selling for $499 just a few months ago.
Well, that's that...
I'm in a 12 step program.... or was that a 12 lens program...
Well I guess I'll need a macro lens, 50mm f1.8, 8mm fisheye, and a few more to get back upto 12 lenses....

Nice candid's, I like the second prom couple shot.
How long do you take on post processing each shot?

Depends on the shot. the prom photo that you like took 45 min.. Color correction, USM, Mask, lens blur :). I kinda know my way around PS so i know how much to use of it tool before it looks to over-processed. The rest took no more than 7 mins each. Actions are a must, especialy when converting for DPC. There are still some things that i need to do to the photos which are a quick fix. Like the horrible smog air uuhhhgg..

Do you shoot RAW? If so, click on the calibrate tab after you open the RAW NEF file in CS/CS2. There you can increase the saturation of the blue channel only and that should help you. If not, try using a circular polarizer or ND filter and then hitting that blue saturation slider. I had the same problem with some of my beach shots and just played with all sorts of settings and found that one slider worked some nice magic. :)
