Oh, I am just getting back that day from Sedona. So, I don't think I'll make it up there. Thanks though. I'll let you know!

Hey Guys!!!
We've the dates mixed up. Saturday is 5/23, not 5/21. So we're on for Saturday 5/23, Right???

Man do I feel silly, I forgot to turn over the April's calender page to May. He he.
So it's 5/21 Sat. afterall. Sorry for the confusion, if any.
I've rejoined the Los Angeles Canon dSLR Group on Yahoo and there seems to be three that are interested, so maybe we can have seven there.

I introduced a friend from my photo class to this site. She may also be interested in coming with us. Hopefully she'll post soon! :) Her name is Caterina.

HEY EVERYONE,
I'm sorry to have bad news.
According to my collegue the CEO is in big trouble, there are now rumors/possible investigations of fraud by the CEO (I stress rumors, I don't want to be sued for defemation) so the ticket situation is a no go.
Sorry to hype everyone up and not deliver.
What should we do now? Still go to Queen Mary and Pay or go to a cheaper/free place?

We can always walk the shoreline right? No worries about the QM Tom. But I'm up for anything, I'll be taking my finals on friday so i'm up for anything just to celebrate :)

I still have one slim hope, one of the nurses knows a patient who is a tour guide at QM, she left a messege for her to see if she can have us come aboard for a free tour. It's a long shot but why not...
I'm up for shoreline but I'm not sure what else is there. The complex by the aquarium is okay to shoot as well.

Oh yea, i forgot about those. Never been by there at night any how. But if you can't get the tour No worries on my part.

Is it just me or has it seemed like forever and a half since the last time the LA DPC group has gotten together???

We can also try to get some sunset shots or beach shots. Anyone else online have any ideas :)

This weekend, I went to the Renaissance Faire and had a good time. If the Queen Mary deal falls through, I'd like to throw out going to the Faire this weekend. If you order on the internet, the price is $20, and $8 per car to park. Check out a fellow photogs site that I was shooting with.

I am flat broke after my trip to Sedona, so I can't go anywhere that charges a fee, but I am totally up for wandering around somewhere. Where else do we want to go? We can go to Laguna Beach or to Griffith Park or wherever. I just want to get together! We did have an April get together, but it was in Anza... so that's why it seems like a long time. Many people didn't go to that.

Cool photos Tom!

If we don't get QM tickets, maybe around the shoreline area in Long Beach. Atleast we can take a sunset picture of the Queen Mary lilke all those local news stations show when they do the weather.
05/17/2005 11:08:05 AM · #70
That works for me. I don't mind going to that area. Plus, Long Beach is very industrial. We can get some really nice black and white shots maybe. Who's all going for sure? We should try to carpool so parking is cheap.

I'm in. But hold on, still trying to work on tickets. I'll keep updating as I get more info.

Just poking in here because I am nosey...

If you're at the Queen Mary you are also at the Spruce Goose, and the Russian Sub.

But... if you are in that parking lot you are also right next to the shuttle to Catalina Island. That would be a cool photo day trip!
