Here's the idea: Restricted to final voting days, let's say Friday and Saturday, open a window where people who want comments on photos outside of the current challenge can submit their stuff.
This works in two ways: it offers/condones photo sharing off the topic, while keeping the early focus on the challenge voting and commenting.
How you work out the details is not important to me. Photo sharing is natural and I think should be promoted, but in a controlled fashion. I have read many threads that state there are not enough comments given on the challenge photos (I started one of those Rants). I honestly feel that is where this site excells and would very much like to see it continue. We all live in our busy worlds, very few of us have 100% of our time to devote to DPChallenge (sorry, but true).
Please feel free to offer alternatative ideas, this is just a jump off point for what I hope is a useful dialog. Enjoy your day! |

People have often posted critique requests in the forums, which I think has been successful. It tends to be more successful later in the week when the rants and the confusion over the new topic are dispelled.

If this idea is followed through, maybe a new Forum area would be appropriate. One just for posting links to pics you want critiques on.
