Does anybody else once in a while redo their submission and then un-submit and re-submit the new photo, a few times, to try to enter a better photo or is it just me?

I don't unsubmit, but sometimes I'll tinker a bit more and re-submit.

Sometimes I don't submit a photo at all, which saves the bother of unsubmitting. |

...and totally eradicates any fear of a DQ. In addition...you don't have the pain associate with the update button.
You are ahead in every way.... heheheheh

In the Adams challenge I had my image up with several days to go, then kept studying it as a submission in the "preview" screen, with all the surroundings, title and ebverything, and reworked it probably 8 times, resubmitting each time... Can you spell O B S S E S S E D ?

Sure, S C A L V ....
I submitted alternate shots for the Fairy Tales challenge at least 8 times in the final 15 minutes alone. Decisions, decisions. The end result was worth it, though. ;-) |

I usually end up flip-flopping between a couple of shots throughout the week until time runs out and hopefully the best one ends up on the screen. Based on my recent scores, I'm thinking that's not always the case. :-)

So I am not as neurotic as I thought, or is everyone else just as neurotic as me?

I made about 4 different re-submissions (minor changes) to the surrealism contest in about the last 2 minutes. Ended up getting my second DQ though =). I used a soft blur technique in a new layer (decided this in the last 30 seconds!) , but I'm all good with it.

You did that on PURPOSE (if unconsciously, as befits the surreal challenge) becuase you didn't want to have a ribbon that did not have your BEACH in it. Admit it...
Wonderful image, it was one of the ones I rated highest.

Thanks guys =)
Main reason I threw a soft focus on it was to give it that surreal feel, and it ended up killing it, lol.
No, it wouldn't have ribboned, but it was hanging around 6.1, so that was nice. But ah well.
I don't want to be a thread hijacker (even though I already just did).
Anybody else enter multiple version during the week/last 2 minutes?

My question is this: if I submit a photo and change my mind, is it legal to resubmit? I have had second thoughts on shots but was a afraid to remove my submission because I thought you only had one chance during the contest. I figured if I removed it, I couldn't resubmit. |

You can change your mind as often as you like... until the voting begins. From that point, you're locked in. |
