Does anyone happen to have an easy (or semi easy) way of downloading a RealVideo clip from a web site so they can burn it to a DVD?

I have a friend who is hoping to do this from this site, specifically:

If anyone has an idea, please let me know... I don't deal enough with video to have a good idea as to how to do this one... :)

as far as I know you can't save it, thats the point of real media, it streams it.

THe only thing I can think of is if you were able to somehow record the screen itself, there might be some software out there that can do that.

Yep, there's software you can use to record the stream. I used RM Recorder once to record an interview from an online radio station.

Cool... I'll pass that along! My friend is actually one of the contestants on the new Amazing Race, and he was hoping to be able to save some of these clips in case the season never makes it to DVD.

I use Windows and Real streaming recorders along with a VCR program to record automatically. Works great! I record and burn all kinds of clips and films.

Go here and learn about them along with screen capture programs: //www.all-streaming-media.com/

I used to have a program that could rip real audio as fast as the processor could manage... ie, not in real time. I think it was called Streambox(?), but you have to find the exact version number that allows you to do this before they discontinued this feature very rapidly under legal threats. It's quite a task hunting it down.
