Thought someone would appreciate how good we all have it! Sometimes it's good to sit back and see that the world has a lot of axis's not just the one that revolves around me ........ and probably you ....

Just a thought for the day!

There are pictures there everywhere you look! I have hundreds more that I haven't posted.

I liked your pictures very much - that is the way of life over there - and a lot of women doing the field work ...

Crazy, you're from london...I'm working on Oxford street this very minute.

Anyway, beautiful photos!

What are the context of those? What were you doing in India?

Great Photo's!

I've never been to India, but I have been to Nicaragua. It was my experience while I was there that the people weren't unhappy at all ... in fact, just the opposite. Even though they lived in extreme poverty.

We Americans do have it good, but I wouldn't say we're the happiest folks on the planet :)

I agree hopper! Having it good doen't make one happy!! I have seen much worse places to live than this - but the ppl have it hard but for the most part - happy. I mean some ppl get upset if you step on their perfectly manicured yard - it's persective for sure

I wanted to make it clear that the photos of India that I posted here were not from my trip there but my Brothers and he used my camera for the trip and I ended up with the pictures. I still wanted to post them for ppl to see as I think they are great photos... sorry if it was misleading - I am probably not that good of a photographer anyway :P

Amazing pics. I really like what Gaurav has done too. Where are you based? I'm from India. been here all my life and somehow what seems facinating to most has become a part of everyday life here. I agree they are, for the most part, happy people. Very content with their lives and trudging along just fine. A good perspective on India is also depicted in one of the recent flicks - Swadesh. Gives you a good perspective. I really love this country. The kind of diversity you see here is mind blowing. After 23 years and living in 13 differnt states in all corners of the country I can say I have only seen probably 40% of my own country. There's just so much to see. If any of you ever get a chance - try it. Its a trip of a lifetime.

Once I do get my own camera I'll join in and post pics.Thats gonna take time going by the way my 'Camera fund' is growing. Till then it's words and votes.

I traveled to India 9 years ago to adopted a little girl. Unfortunately that was before I owned a digital camera, and the film photos I took were mostly for the photo album for my little girls as she grows up (photos of her orphanage and such). I would love to go back.
