There's a photo essay about Iceland on washingtonpost.com. Very beautiful shots!
It doesn't give me a way to link you to it, but if you can get to the online paper (free, but may require registration), it's in the sidebar under "Spring Travel". |

The Post has a really crappy website, very slow loading pages and tons of ads including pop-ups, etc.; and you've got to be registered to see the anything. But I'm registered there so here's a synopsis.
The piece on Iceland is a 10 picture slide show entitled "Swimming the Hot Spots in Iceland" with some very nice shots of geothermal springs, lagoons, a geyser, a glacier, a waterfall and a northern lights shot as the finale. The photos are spectacular. But we here at dpc may be a little spoiled because we get to see so many spectacular shots from our Icelandic members. The photos are all credited to "Silvia Otte - for the Washington Post".
An example:
Good find Neil.

Thanks for providing more details Harvey and the sample.
As to the post website, I read the news there every day and it's not slow, nor do I get any popups (in Firefox). I also read the NY Times, LATimes, and CNN sites, and they all similar in speed and clutter.
One thing I don't like about some sites--particularly CNN, is that sometimes I'm interested in a story line and then I click without noticing it's a video. When I'm at the computer, I am doing many things at once, and I prefer text and photos to video.
