We continually see questions in the forumn, can I do this in Basic? in Advanced?

I have lots of those questions too. And it's hard to find the answers in the forums. And ineffcicient too.

Why not add two FAQ categories:

What can I do in Basic?
What can I do in Advanced?

And start listing (or allowing user submission) of single point questions like:

What can I do in Basic:
Q. Can I use "sharpen edges"?
Q. Can I use "virtual photographer"?
...

etc., and then let someone from the site council answer these.

Then we would all have a place to go, see a simple list of questions, and get the answer. It would grow in time. If the rules change, the site council would need to review and fix the outdated answers though.

There are php FAQ scripts which allow users to submit questions directly. I don't know if that's something Drew and Langdon are interested in adding here, but it would make it easier.

I am all for this. If I have a last minute question I can go there and look to find my answer. Great suggestion.

I also think this is a very good idea. I'll point the SC to this thread and we'll discuss.

I, too, think it is an idea worth considering.

Yes, I think this is a great idea as someone who has searched for answers before. I'm thinking you would need to be careful regarding the content as far as maintaining correct answers. Basically this could turn into a subset of the rules - good or bad.

Man, this would have saved me some trouble last october. I think during the first time I voted I rewuested proof for about 30 pictures because the fact that not meeting the challenge is no dq reason had got lost somewhere between all the other rules.
This might be very helpful for noobs and for those who just want to make sure without having to scan the whole rules set.
