This is a photo I took on the Friday following 9/11/01, When Pres. Bush asked that we all light a candle for the attack on our country at 7 p.m.
This photo has never been edited at all, only color enhanced.
I wrote poetry about the photo, and months after a dear elderly friend asked me to please take the soldier with the gun out of the photo, as it freightened her.
I laughed, and told her there was not such thing in the photo, only a candle and the sky. After a closer look, I saw what she saw. I have tried over and over again to share it with the Veterans and various groups, but no one found it as interesting as this lady, and me of course.
Have any of you ever taken a photo and had someone point out the obvious to them, that was a wierd as this. |
