I think since this site is, to a certain extent, about helping people learn new techniques and look at things differently, there should be a challenge where each shot must demonstrate the photographer's idea of shallow depth of field. This would also eliminate all those annoying why isn't everything in focus comments :) and help people see a really artistic side of themselves.

Azrifel.I like your idea.

I like shallow DOF and think it can be very powerful. I'm sure some [many] of the cameras don't have apature adjustment _=_ some don't know what it is. I also think it would be helpful to maybe headline or _star_ different photographers...pro/AM either... and show their different techniques.

Shallow depth of field is easy, true depth of field is harder and appropriate depth of field is the most challenging because there are so few places it is necessary to complete an image.
