I'm half way curious how many people who voted in the Billboard Challenge thought the cat was cut out? Nope, not cut out at all. It's the only way my cat will drink water.

After recalibrating my screen I realized what a miserable job I did at editing...only too late.

Which leads me to a question. How bright should you keep your screen? In my case the flws in the Billboard ony show up and near peak brightness. Time for a new screen? Flatpanel? Recomendations?

Use the grayscale gradient strip to callibrate your monitor. When you can see every shade from black to white, then your monitor is set correctly (or as close as possible, anyway).

I think Butterfly is referring to the gradient strip under each picture when you vote.

And here is another one with a grayscale gradient and skin tones etc.. little small on a 640 scale

Here's another good site to extract as many tones as possible..

Zones

Maybe I don't look so pale now :p

Good Luck
