I finally decided to get the adapter for filters on the S1 since I've been using it more and more for creative photography, even though I mainly bought it to have a pocket camera (which is why I wasn't going to buy the adapter--it makes it bulkier).

I ordered the Lensmate adapter though--now I'm wondering if I might have been better off with the Canon LAH-DC10, since it comes with a rigid lens hood. Believe it or not, the lensmate was more expensive after adding $7 for shipping, without a hood. But to minimize the shipping percent I bought a couple of stepping rings so I can use my 49mm close up lenses from my old G2 lensmate, and a lens cap.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Canon LAH-DC10 versus the lensmate? Has anyone used either with the S1?
