I think my billboard entry might have scored a little higher, except I get the feeling that people thought I added the blur effect in post.
With the exception of color enhancements, cloning to clean up some dust, and burning in around the edges, it's exactly as shot. The motion blur is the purely the result of shutter speed/panning.
I'm curious....do you think people would have voted it higher if they had known it was done in camera? Might it have changed your vote?
(To be clear, I'm not complaining at all......just intrigued by what goes through people's minds when they vote.)

I think you took a good photograph but if I had to say what may have hurt your score is the following:
1. It looks like a toy train in a way.
2. You don't see to many billboards advertising trains.
3. The boarder did not fit to well with a billboard challenge. Only four photo's scored higher than yours that has borders.
Just my opinion. I think you took a great picture but maybe not suited for this challenge. Hope that helps some. BTW I scored yours a 5

I thought maybe the fact that it was a train would hurt me a little, because it is a very specialized niche....you do sometimes see specialized billboards in certain parts of town, though....so that's what I was going for.
Not sure I agree with you on the border thing (especially since the blue ribbon winner had one). I do appreciate the feedback, though.....Thanks!
