I'm part of a documentary photography list and comments such as "WTF were you thinking? That's pedestrian and weak..." often come up. It's funny because you know you're getting an honest opinion from somebody who's a weathered and learned photographer who is also willing to help others get past the 'pedestrian' stage.
What's my point? Each and every comment needs to be taken in the context of who said it. I did horribly in the pink challenge, but I got one comment from Imagineer who said that it was one of his top picks and that he gave it a 10. The same thing coming from another photographer wouldn't have meant half as much...

i took a look at the girls bio
maybe she took the wrong pills
stupid head was refering to herself maybe cause she had a terrible headache |

I took a gander at all 11 comments. Of all of them the one made on the OP's image was the only one that might be considered "out of line." I would hope she was just trying to be humorous, but just in case I will send a friendly PM.

i just got this on my best friends photo..
"they're not even in FOCUS! did you actually think you might win?" this coming from someone who has never entered a challenge.

That comment is totally out of line UNLESS, of course you were taking a photo of a Stupid Head which needed extra cropping.
"Report the bastard"....I say!
Discipline is in order and I'm sure the SC will police any such offense without question??? |
