Not normally into post-mortems but for those who asked:

Getting Better All the Time
1. This entry received 30 comments! That's over twice the amount of any of my other entries
2. Peaked on day 2 at 6.3
3. Was my 1st selection as a favourite by another member (4 in fact)
4. My highest score, placing and percentile (5.992, 13 / 168, 93%)

A Little Help From My Friends
I had one friend who assisted me by placing & holding lights during the set up and the beautiful Svetlana who was over modelling for the handbag & accessories shoot.

As the 70s marked my formative teenage years growing up in Bondi they were clearly defined by (in order of priority):

Music, Girls, Cars, Girls, the beach, Girls, mates, music and ....did I say girls? - (I know, I'm a cliche)

Please remember this was long before mortgages, responsibility, family & consequences. However, as happy a time as this was I can still remember the painful events such as Vietnam, Entebbe, Munich etc.

The short version of what I was trying to express was a 70s teenager conflicting between all of the chaos of the time and reflecting back on the simpler times. The original, you must agree, was awful (note her blue eye-shadow ala ABBA).

Thanks to all those who voted and took the time to comment

Fixing A Hole
I ain't bitchin''cause this is my highest score ever, but those who were hung up on facts missed a little something I left for you. Those of you over 48 will remember playing records backwards trying to find out about all the conspiracy theories (remember the "Paul is dead" one). You were so keen to tell me when LSD was written well "here's another clue for you all".

1. The word Beatles is partially obscured to spell out what the image is about.
2. John & George have been cropped out as an ominous sign to the future.
3. They broke up in 1970 full stop
4. A little known entertainer named Elton John had a HUGE hit with LSD released in November 1974

Lighten up guys. I don't wanna turn this into 'Literalism' v 'Art' again 'cause I ain't no artist, but I'm learning, thanks Rob
I also note that the well-deserved Blue Ribbon goes to a totally 60s image (I gave this a 9 and picked it for the red), and I can pick top 5 images from other challenges that have cute animals, blown highlights, babies and many other 'guides' I was told to avoid. This proves to me if the shot is good enough it will rise to the top regardless..............the tribe has spoken, thank you for reading.
