So excited! My lights are on the way! I ordered 2 AB 800s, a large softbox, and a white/silver umbrella.
I just had to share - I can't wait to get them!! Good thing I have a ton of things to do tomorrow or I might go mad waiting!

| You are gonna have some fun dawn! Congrats! I love natural light mostly myself, but even 2 lights for indoor(or studio) shots are such a benefit! Experiment and post, and good luck! B |

I have one light, it is the reading lamp the my girlfriend uses, but with the soft box I made it is not too bad. Have fun with them and when your done send them my way.

About a week ago i got to play a bit in a friend's studio (has an AB800 and another brand). WOW! A whole nuther area of potography!
I am reading a book on studio lighting now...there seems to be as many ways to set up flash and lighting as there are models of camera out there.
Read, experiment and have fun!

Thanks everyone.
Parrot - I love natural light portraits, which is all I have done to date, but I can't seem to get the eyes as sharp as I want most of the time. I don't like being at the mercy of the sun. So to go pro, I think I need reliable, steady light.
Puma - "Have fun with them and when your done send them my way." LOL, I'm hoping not to give up that easily!
Prof - I also got to play with a friend's studio setup a couple of weeks ago. Lights had been on my list of items to purchase before then, but that really sealed the deal for me.
Can't wait to start playing. They left Nashville, TN at 8:42 this a.m. Guess they won't arrive today. Drat.
