All right, this was my pic for the separation challenge....
I wonder why it got rated so low? What's wrong with it? doesn't meet the challenge, colors are wrong? Poor lighting?

Any1 care to give a little "deeper" criticism about it?

I liked your shot, so maybe I'm not the best person to tell you why it scored the way it did. I can tell you that many people don't like frames, so your shot might have done better without that frame. As for the image itself, the edges are pretty jagged, I assume from reducing itssize and sharpening. You could try other means of doing this to create smoother edges.

Other than that, the lighting, setup, and composition are really excellent. Don't worry as much about how much we liked your photo as how much you liked it. :-)

I preferred it to my power-point shot : )

The jaggies probably did hurt it quite badly though - the image is only 77kb, could you have saved at higher quality?

Maybe the line of the cord could have been different? Curling around a bit? Leading the eye towards the socket rather than away? It's not too bad as it is though.

One last thing ... what is the "famous" Neat Image trick?

LoL! It's cz every1 uses neat image basically for the same purpose!

Yes I realize it's been oversharpened, I didn't pay attention to it till voting started!

Well I guess I can't complain at it.... I messed up......

But I enjoyed the results!
