In the manual it says that the dioptric adjustment ranges between -3 and +1
Canon also has 10 different dioptric lenses that you can use.
Does this mean if I use a -4 the real range for the diopter is between -7 and 3?
My vision is -5.25 :(

I would contact canon if no one here knows. Here's a quote from my owner's manual...
If the camera's dipotric adjustment still cannot provide a clear viewfinder image, using Dioptric Adjustment Lens E (10 types) is recommended.
actually do a search on google for 'canon dioptric lens E' ...

That certainly appears to be the case, but I can't find anything to confirm it.
