First i want to thank everyone who has continually helped me out! I really appreciate it. But once again i need your help please.

Recently i put up some new pictures on picture i would like everyone to see.-> //www.PictureTrail.com/leonjs

One of the pictures in there is one where there is a girl with a brown coat on if you zoom in on here sleeve and look close to where her hand and the end of her coat meets it seem like the highlights there are extremely washed out, i've made comments on peoples pictures before on this issue and now i actually feel stupid because i dont know how to fix it. I tried a few different things but to now avail

Also i put up another picture its actually a face i cut out of a picture its the result of unsharp mask it seems like her face has all this noise in it and it jus doenst look right this only seems to happen to light skinned/caucasian it isnt that noticalble on dark skin people, any idea and i even tried sharpening in lab mode on the lightness channle still to no avail perhaps the picture doesnt need sharpening? i dont know i also included a picture iam trying to fix that isnt focused on there thanks....

You can try the cloning tool or healing brush on washed out spots.

USM always increases digital noise but just experiment with radius and threshold when trying to get the sharpening you seek without increasing the noise to much. The values I usually use for radius is ca. 0,2-2 and and threshold ca. 0-10. Depends very much on image size and whats on it.

Hi Leon,

I'm a rank amateur, but here's my 2cts. The issue with the girl in the coat pic is that the whole image seems a little too over-exposed. Everything is light. I hardly even see the highlight you mentioned. Maybe you're getting too critical of the image.

The other shot doesn't look like a noise problem. Her whole face looks blotchy red. Too much Photoshop processing? Try a program like Neat Image for noise reduction. It's free.

The focus problem looks like camera movement.

Every 2 cents COUNTS soon maybe will have a dollar j/k but i do appreciate your comments so far i have jus uploaded a new picture where you can see her sleve a little better your right the picture is a little over exposed i have another version of this picture that i was working on and after post processing that spot on her sleve becomes more obvious i realy wish i would have under exposed that picture jus now realize its difficult to save highlights that dont exist. So what you u do to the picture?

I think your hand just moved a little while the shutter was open. Not uncommon, try getting more light on your subjects, or taking a faster picture.
