I really like the second one! Tracy, when I click on the High Key Sketch Action all I get is a bunch of code. Is this what I';m supposed to get or am I missing something. I'd really like to use that action on a couple photos I've got of my son.

Might need to right click and select Download Linked File As
or take the .atn off the backend in the url, then enter...gives you a choice then

You said before your editing was legal in the basic rules. I thought adjustment layers had to be applied at full opacity. Am I wrong?

Yep, you're wrong. ;-)
From the Basic Rules: "Changing the opacity of an Adjustment Layer is permitted."

A posterboard could work the same way and you wouldn't have to mess with 8X10 sheets of paper Leon Just make sure you don't use the glossy side of the posterboard. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

Good question! I'd be worried about that.
Skip -- I like it. What did you do that was different from Robert or Tracy? |

i selected the background, then inversed the selection, created a new layer via copy, then changed the blending mode to screen. i made the border using lines, with the border color coming from part of the stem.
i was shooting for something similar to jennifer's tulips, and this was close enough for me as was. otherwise, i probably would have started fiddling with more things... |
