I've trying to figure out this burst mode thingie since I bought the camera, but I just can't make it work.
Ok, isn't burst supposed to shoot a sequence of pictures? Whenever I use burst mode mode, it only shoots one image.
If I use MULTI BURST I end up with pics like this:
°°°°....::::---------::::....°°°°

What am I doing wrong? could it be a camera problem?
I was told it's for fast action. Do I have to se the camera dial to the action position? I was trying to capture my dogs playing and it doesn't work! And god, they are fast! LoL

My user's manual has disappeared (or either my mom threw it away)

Looks like in normal burst, it will capture 1.7 fps but in multiburst, it does 7.5, 15, or 30 fps and merges them into one image that you can crop each one out later if you wanted.

but then it would be tiny little images! Look at their size, the pics i posted on the top message.
And besides, what about the burst mode only! Not the multi one.
It beats me!!!

If you're shooting at a resolution less than 1280x960, it's possible that they're even smaller than 320x240. Looks like you resized it to fit the web. It's just a bunch of smaller images merged into one.

Yes it's been resized! but the thing is, multi burst always does that! even if it's under 5mp resolution, it merges all images in one single image, 1280x960.

Here's what i found on Steve's:

"The shooting performance was impressive. Press the power button and it's ready to go in just under 2 seconds. Power up to first image captured was a fast 2.2 seconds. Shutter lag was a mere 1/10 of a second when pre-focused and 2/10 of a second including autofocus. In Normal record mode, the shot to shot time is about 1.5 seconds. The W1 allows users to choose between two burst modes (Burst, Multi Burst). The number of images you can capture when shooting in burst mode depends on the image size and quality settings. Burst mode captured 9 frames in about 6.5 seconds. It takes about 9 seconds for the W1 to process a full buffer and then you can continue shooting."

It also says it depends on the image size and quality settings on the camera. I'm using a 256mb MS Pro for christ sake!!! It can't be the card. It would'nt work on the other one as well, even using 1mp, or VGA resolution!

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH.

Ok, I need to go back to school LoL! This is impressive!
I can fill up the memory card in seconds!!!!
What I was doing was wrong! I was pressing the shutter release and then right after (as a regular photo) I would let it go, making it stop recording! I have to keep the shutter release pressed for the amount of time I want.

Oh, newbies! ROTFL

I figured it out now! thx a bunch LEONJR

I knew how to choose burst and multi burst modes, what I didn't know was that I had to keep the shutter release button pressed all the way for as long as I wanted! Or for as long as the memory stick lasts...

I'm hitting myself here!
