Well, many seemed to as how I did my shot so here I go!!
I had the idea for a while now.. well, at least having somthing inverted in a glass of water. I just thought it would be neat with me in it. :-)
The setup was simple. In my livingroom, I had a softbox on my right. The camera was on a tripod about 4ft from the glass and I was about 3 ft from the glass:
First off, here,s my original:
First thing I did was rotate 180 degrees and a slight crop for better balance.
Next I greyscaled the image then put it back to RGB.
I then adjusted levels.
I then played with color balance on the bottom layer to give it the blue tint.
I erased the water on the top layer to get the blue from the bottom layer through.
I then "burned" the hell out of everything around the glass to make it stand out more.
Slight USM and Neat Image and voilà !
