Kodak has announced a new camera..

The Z7590. The number sound familiar? It should.. this *new* camera, announced at the PMA, is actually just the DX7590 with a Z in front of it instead.

There have been no changes whatsoever.. none. No cosmetic, no spec changes, nothing. It's IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY to the DX7590.

Wow.. that's just.. wow.. now that's marketing.

So basically Kodak has two identical cameras out there with *slightly* different names, and they'll probably sell more too. OOo.. a NEW 7590!
hehehe.. man, you gotta love the audacity.

If you don't believe me.. go to Kodak.com and pull up the specs for both the z7590 and the dx7590 and view them side by side. There's not *one* difference.

i notice that the automatic shutter time has increased to a possible 16 seconds on the new version compared to 1/8 on the old. it also has a histogram feature. but i agree, there isn't much there that's different... except maybe the MSRP is $50 less! i guess it's better than them just continuing to sell the old one (assuming that they do in fact discontinue it soon) when they could at least improve it slightly.

Ahh.. I missed the histogram and increased shutter length.. thanks, but still, lol. First time I'd seen a ploy like this.
