Hello - I am a recent registrant to this site. I am an amateur photographer that about 14 months ago purchased my first digital SLR. I am hoping that through constructive critiques I can improve both technically and artistically. I would appreciate a few moments of critique on some recent photos from a business trip to Arizona - I escaped for about 4 hours of photography in the Desert (sans tripod). I have also include a link to my main gallery for any other suggestions/comments/likes/dislikes you might have.

You can either reply to this message or leave comments on my website. I look forward to reading your comments and to coming back to this site often.

Welcome to dpc. I'm sure you'll learn a lot here and share a lot as well...a great community.

I guess that's your kid doing tai kwan do? Lots of fun. I did tang soo do for a while and later boxing. I'm thinking of getting into muay thai -- then I can be on UFC :-D Make sure he sticks with it no matter how hard...it's really rewarding.

Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks again and see you on pbase!!

I viewed with interest the pics of your recent trip.

Although I did enjoy the enjoy the pics you took,,,,,I found the rather large copyright mark to be a bit much. I can appreciate your intent in this instance, but the sheer size of the copyright marks greatly detracted from the quality of your photos... to the point that I opted to view ONLY the Arizona Desert Images.

Just my point of view.... for what it's worth.

RayEthier - I fully understand your comment regarding the watermarks. Going forward I will try to alter this approach. I am still interested on any critiques that you might have with respect to technical and/or artistic perspectives. Thanks in advance.
