For the latest challenge, when I submitted a picture from a computer on my college campus, the clarity looked perfect. I remember thinking, "Good, I think my new tripod really works; this picture has great clarity!". when I went home and pulled up my image on the site later to show my parents, I noticed some blur (they have a fairly upscale computer). It was even worse when I looked at it that night on my (old) laptop. However, back on the school computer the next day, it looked great again. My guess is that this has something to do with the computer quality. However, some pictures (when I'm voting) look great on the family computer, but never the laptop. Kinda strange.
I've gotten a few comments expressing that my picture is blurry. This is a bit frustrating, because on some computers it isn't! It also makes me a bit leery about deducting points on others' pictures for blur, because I'm not sure if its blurruness is dependant on what computer I'm on. Can someone explain this to me, and tell me if there's a way I can correct this? Thanks!

Perhaps it's a monitor resolution problem

Hmm...sharpness of the monitor, most likely. Not the computer's fault.

Are your parents running a web accelerator (AOL)? Those horrid programs compress all graphics, pretty much destroying photo quality, and most people who are on AOL don't even know it.

Check the video configuration on the three computers, see if there's any difference in color depth and screen refresh rate. Sometimes this last item can make a difference in sharpness.
