| Does anyone know of any software that can show me the picture I've just taken on my screen while I have my camera connected to my laptop. Not just for canon cameras, but any digital camera. |

I don't think such an animal exists, since there's no standard for the camera to tell the computer it just snapped a photo. I'm pretty sure any such software will be vendor-specific.
I've tried a few Google searches as well, and came up empty.

What you want is software for "tethered shooting." The 20D ships with software that is capable of this. CaptureOne is also capable of handling this but appears to have problems for the 20D.
Using the canon software, you should also be able to trigger the camera from the PC, which in certain situations can be very advantageous.

Thanks for the quick replies. I kind of thought that the software was vendor specific, just wanted to make sure.

Although this is highly vendor-specific, Bibble does support tethered shooting for a variety of makes/models of cameras (by using their SDKs). Canon, Nikon, and Kodak are the obvious ones supported, but I don't know about others. |
