These were taken from my trip to Bukit Merah ECO Park in Perak,Malaysia
on 11th February.
 
All's been taken by my Panasonic DMC-FZ20
I'm still an amateur and would be very grateful if sound advice is given

One thing I noticed is that the two birds are cropped out of the frame. They are beautiful subjects though; It's amazing how photogenic animals can be.
If you find that you enjoy photographing nature I'd suggest you look into some of John Shaw's books. They are excellent to give you a foundation to work towards, and the details to start working on.

Nice work! The swan has a pleasant composition, but the colors are a little dull, so I'm wondering if you've tried it out in black and white? For the second one, I think a tighter crop, at least eliminating the shadows would help a lot. Tighter the better is what I think. |

I took a look at your "Photos So Far" link. Nice photos overall in regard to color, exposure, etc., but I think many of the photos would benefit from using the Rule of Thirds. Implementing this basic rule (as a guide) got me started on the right track early on.

Try the grid display mode.
