Exhibition Feb 18th-27th.
Two photos from an exhibition that I'm taking part in among 28 other amateur photographers in a photoclub here in Iceland.

It would be nice to have some critique, how do you like this tone and so on... ?

Of the two I like the church picture best (I'm assuming it's a church). However....if the cross picture was taken just a tad lower (so that the crossbar was surrounded by the light) I would have LOVED that one instead.

I'm a novice myself, so I can't give you much technical information, Sorry.

I agree with the cross picture, but just as you said, just a tad lower because I don't want to lose the road in the background out of the picture. Thanks Nathan.

No problem. If you're allowed to edit the picture just move the light down on your own.

I like the churh one the best too although I think they are both excellent. As for the cross for me if it were up in the lighter area more it would couse too much of a contrast for the photo. Right now it has a soft eerie feel to it and I think that is good. I like the thick border around it also, but on the church it does not stand out as well. Very nice work

Thanks. Puma you could be right about the contrast in the cross photo, it would have maybe lost balance with shot from a lower point of view when I think of it.
